August 30, 2022              FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Hartford, OH)...The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Sportsman Modified Series presented by Born2Run Lubricants will head to Sharon Speedway for the final time of the 2022 season this Friday night (September 2) in night one of the "Sharon Nationals" that features the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars.  Friday night will be the fourth Flynn's Tire Touring Series event of the season and also the finale for the Wedge Motorsports "Route 7 Rumble" Series.  Saturday night will be a Hovis Weekly Series event at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway.

Friday night's event has received a $600 purse increase from Jerry Schaffer, a longtime racer, car owner, and sponsor, with his Jerry Rents LLC business.  The 25-lap Flynn's Tire Touring Series feature winner will now receive $1,000 instead of the standard $800 with an extra $100 going to positions two through five!  Jerry Rents handles toilet rentals and camper pumping.  For more information, call 724-530-2000.

There will be a lot of points on the line Friday night; not only Flynn's Tire Tour points, but also for the $3,500 to-win Hovis Weekly Series, $1,000 to-win Wedge Motorsports "Route 7 Rumble" Series, and the "Futures Cup" Championships!

Thanks to three podium finishes in three races including a victory at the last event on July 22 at Lernerville, Garrett Krummert currently leads the Flynn's Tire points by just four over Ayden Cipriano.  Cipriano has been hot of late winning the last two Weekly Series features at Sharon and also has Weekly Series wins at Raceway 7 and Tri-City in the last seven weeks.  Ben Easler, who won his first career Tour feature on June 18 at Sharon, is third over Rob Kristyak and July 14 Expo Tour winner, Kole Holden.

Friday night will conclude year three of the Wedge Motorsports "Route 7 Rumble" Series, which are all events contested at Raceway 7 and Sharon.  It appears there will be a third champion in three years.  Fifteen-year-old Easler, who won last year's "Futures Cup" Championship, will clinch the "Route 7 Rumble" by attempting to compete.  Easler has five victories and has finished fourth or better in 13 of the 14 events to date with his worst finish being a sixth!  Holden has just a three-point lead on 2020 champion, Rob Kristyak.

Easler also leads the Weekly Series Championship, but that lead is just 15 over Cipriano.  Holden, Kristyak, and Justin Shea complete the top five in those 20-position paying points.  There have been six different winners in eight races this year at Sharon as only Easler and Cipriano have been able to repeat.  Single victories have gone to Tony Tatgenhorst, Justin Shea, Krummert, and JC Boyer.

Fourteen-year-old Cole Edwards has led the "Futures Cup" points all season over Dalton Gabriel and Lucas Canon.  All three racers are in their second year of competition.

The RUSH Sportsman Modifieds will then head to Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway on Saturday night in a Hovis Weekly Series event.  Shea has a pair of victories, while single wins have went to Krummert and Jacob Jordan in the four prior appearances at "Dirt's Monster Half-Mile".

The following contingencies will also be posted on Friday night: Precise Racing Products "Pedal Down" Hard Charger, Sherwood Wheels "Man of Steel", and TBM Brakes "Tough Brake of the Night", which value at an additional $410.
